We were turned onto Horseshoe Lake by our good friend Ken. He recently took his two new puppies and had a blast watching his dogs tear around the beach and water. This is not a dog lake but a recreation lake...no fishing as there is no fish in this lake.

This is a local sanctuary! A medium-size lake with sandy shoreline the entire perimeter, flat terrain, no hiking required and very secluded.

Difficulty Level: 4.5 (5 being hardest) I am not an extremist so my 5 is OUR rating and about as challenging as I will get.
Hike Duration: Allot yourself 4 hours. 2 hours up and 1.5 hours back.

Known for its Fall colors
Rock Creek is great all Summer but spectacular during the shoulder season (late September - Mid November).
