Previously known as "Fireside" CJ's Grill is now owned and operated by Carrie and Jason Hoeltzel and are bringing back "the Mammoth of old" - great service, personal connection, and excellent food in a family casual atmosphere. Everything is homemade, they offer a delicate twist to a traditional menu and save room for their famous desserts like pumpkin cheesecake, German chocolate cake, and cinnamon ice cream.

Look for DAILY SPECIALS that will satisfy your curiosity for something new. Quickly becoming known as the best burger and fries in town, other dishes such as Cajun chicken, crawfish pasta, and seasonal salads brings a nice balance.

I tryed CJ's the other day using the gift certificate I won from this site. It was pretty good. I had the Rib eye with the loaded baked potato and my girlfriend had the Veggie burger with mac n cheese. Both dinners were very tasty. I recommend sitting at the table next to the fire.

A glass of port, a wonderful chocolate bread pudding in front of a roaring fire topped our evening off just perfectly. So good! The bread pudding slice was enormous so round two tomorrow.

I enjoyed CJ's Grill a few days ago. I had a chicken pasta dish and my friend has a burger. My pasta dish was amazing, with great tastes on every bite. My friends burger was nice and juicy. Service was OK, got my water filled enough to make me happy. The price is a little steep by my standards, but still lower than many other Mammoth options.

This was my second visit and I already know to ask for the chef's specials and be sure to get Carrie's recommendation for a good wine to pair it with. Carrie is one of the owners and is the C in CJ's. The meals are wonderfully filling so I have not had an opportunity to try any of the deserts but they sound delicious. CJ's also seems to have a good selection of after dinner wines and ports. I look forward to trying one of the deserts with a port on my next visit.

Enjoyed a Saturday lunch. Went with two specials of the day that sounded too good to pass up...and they were!

A B-L-A-T with a chipotle mayo, thick crispy bacon on a freshly toasted thick wheat bread accompanied with a delicious homemade potato salad.

Second was an apple walnut salad. Sounds typical but it was anything but! The dressing was lite and had a wonderful secret ingredient that was better than the typical balsamic dressing. All the ingredients were fresh and was topped with a grilled chicken breast that also had a flavor that complimented everything that came in the salad. Every bite was outstanding.

Beyond the food, the service was right on. Attentive but not excessive. A very pleasant experience and we will be back for sure.
