There is no shame in eating a slice of pie before noon!
Open in Spring to October, this is the best slice o' pie around! This general store is also home to a locally famous restaurant "Pie in the Sky". With a small "L-shaped" counter seating six, there are tables on their outside deck where visitors cozy up to each other to enjoy their pie fix.
Here is the lowdown and menu:
- Order at the counter and wait for your name to be called
- Breakfast is served on weekends only
- Burgers - Beef, Salmon, or Veggie. Accompanied with a bag of chips and a pickle spear. Their secret sauce really makes the sandwich!
- Chili (very good) - small or large - 3 beans, 2 meats, olives, and secret spices
- FRESH PIES MADE DAILY - A large selection of flavors to start the day. Depending on the crowd will determine how quickly the pies run out (ala mode is an option). Keeping track of the available pie flavors is like watching the stock market - some flavors get crossed off the board by the people in front of you while flavors get added on as they come out of the oven. It is all about your timing to get your flavor of choice.

You can order full pies in advance over the phone. Payment is required when ordered.
Experience this treasure before or after enjoying the spectacular views of Rock Creek Trail a few more miles up the road.
Directions: Driving on HWY 395 take Tom's Place turn off. 8 miles up you will find the Rock Creek Lodge. Go one more mile up and you will find the Cafe.
